Travel Companionship

Travel Companionship

Because some journeys are easier when shared.

I’ve always loved to travel. After some of the biggest changes in my own life, it was travel that gave me space to breathe, reflect, and feel inspired again. Many people I work with find that downsizing not only lightens the load at home, but also frees up time and money to explore new places. For those going through loss or transition, travel can also be deeply healing, a chance to step away, see things differently, and begin to move forward.

For many, the idea of travelling again comes after a big life change. You may be recently bereaved, downsizing, or adjusting to a new stage of life with more freedom, and perhaps more money, but the thought of travelling alone feels daunting.

“She turned an ordinary trip into something special.”

Senior traveler visiting family overseas

“I hadn’t traveled in years and was nervous about managing airports and luggage on my own. Having Jennie as my travel companion changed everything. She took care of the details from checking in and navigating connections to making sure I was comfortable every step of the way.

What could have been a stressful experience became enjoyable and even exciting. Her calm presence, good humor, and kindness made me feel completely at ease. I arrived rested, confident, and actually looking forward to the journey home!”

Maybe you:

  • Have always dreamed of going somewhere special but never quite made it there, and now it feels harder to take the leap alone.

  • Want to return to a meaningful place, but know it will stir up memories you’d rather not face by yourself.

  • Feel excited about the idea of a holiday but find the logistics overwhelming, managing the suitcase trolley, arranging taxis, booking restaurants.

  • Are a couple who would enjoy the comfort of a companion to quietly handle the details, so you can focus on enjoying the trip together.

  • Are on your own and don’t want an organized group holiday, but also don’t want to feel lonely on a trip that should be joyful.

That’s where my travel companionship comes in.

How It Works

I’m not a tour operator or a carer. I don’t run group trips or provide fixed itineraries. What I do offer is safe, flexible companionship, like travelling with a trusted friend or family member.

  • You cover my travel costs (flights, accommodation, meals, transport, and excursions).

  • I charge a simple daily or weekly fee for my time.

  • I will always have my own room, this is important for my privacy and for ensuring healthy boundaries.

  • You make the decisions, I’ll only book or arrange things with your agreement.

  • We’ll share the journey together, but also leave space for privacy and independence.

Pricing

Every trip is unique, but here’s a guide so you know what to expect:

  • Short UK breaks – from £200 per day Ideal for weekends away, city breaks, or returning to a meaningful place without having to face it alone.

  • European trips (up to 1 week) – from £150 per day (or £850 per week) A balance of companionship and independence. You cover my costs, and I provide steady support so you can enjoy your trip without the stress of logistics.

  • Longer or further trips (2+ weeks, long-haul such as South East Asia) – from £125 per day (or £750 per week) Lower daily rate to reflect longer time away, with the same flexibility and companionship.

These rates are for my time and companionship only. All of my travel expenses (flights, accommodation, meals, transport, and entry fees) are covered

by you.

A Note on Expectations

Travel is unpredictable, flights get delayed, luggage goes missing, plans change.

That’s all part of the adventure.

My role is to be a calm, steady companion through the highs and the hiccups, but I can’t guarantee a perfectly smooth trip or remove every risk.

I’m not a tour operator, a carer, or a medical professional. I don’t provide care services, and I don’t run organised group tours.

That means:

  • You cover my travel costs and a fee for my time.

  • I will always have my own room during trips.

  • You make the decisions, I’ll only book or arrange things with your agreement.

  • You’re responsible for your own health, safety, and travel insurance (with cover for medical care, emergencies, and repatriation).

  • Any medical conditions or mobility needs must be discussed openly before we travel.

This isn’t about me taking over. It’s about you having the confidence to travel, knowing you’re not alone.
